Munich, Luxembourg 11/03/2024 – cleversoft will integrate INTERPOL Red Notice data into the consolidated sanctions list from 18 March 2024. This strategic decision is aimed at making the verification process more efficient for customers.
Background:
Previously, INTERPOL Red Warrant records used in cleversoft´ s screening applications were stored in a separate file. This made it possible to generate specific INTERPOL type alerts for possible matches between verified entities and INTERPOL data. However, this operational set-up required separate verification and validation against the list of sanctions alerts.
Conceptual considerations:
INTERPOL Red Notices can be considered as sanctions against the corresponding natural persons. As our consolidated sanctions list already includes many sources with very similar data, it is no longer necessary to keep INTERPOL Red Notices in a separate list that is subject to a separate updating process.
Changes and impact:
As of 18 March 2024, the following changes will take effect:
- INTERPOL Red Notice data will be included in the consolidated sanctions list.
- The separate INTERPOL file will no longer be updated.
Impact on your applications/services:
- New alerts: INTERPOL Red Notices generated AFTER 18 March 2024 will no longer appear in the specific INTERPOL alert list.
- Existing alerts: INTERPOL alerts collected BEFORE 18 March 2024 will continue to appear in the specific INTERPOL alerts list.
- Sanction alerts: New INTERPOL alerts will be included in the specific list of sanctions alerts, indication Interpol as the source.
- Alert reports and retrieval: New INTERPOL alerts will also appear in the sanctions list.
- Configurations changes: Depending on the application you are using, you may need to adjust configuration settings.
