Since 30th April 2023, the third EET format is available on the market. As you have surely noticed, unfortunately various asset managers and financial market participants do not all transmit the latest version yet.
On January 18, 2023, FinDatEx released the latest version of the European ESG Template (EET) – EET version 1.1.1.
With the revised version 1.1.1, the following changes have been made:
All financial market participants, as well as we at cleversoft, are now facing the challenge that numerous asset managers have not yet implemented the necessary updates from the original versions of the EET, version 1.0 or version 1.1, or have done so only partially.
For example, in some cases the version identifier 1.1.1 is indicated in the field “00010_EET_Version”, although it concerns older format versions such as 1.1 or 1.0 etc.
To solve this problem for our customers, we are currently working on the implementation of a converter for all EET versions presently available on the market into the latest EET format. This will ensure that all incoming deliveries are always converted to the latest EET V 1.1.1. version for delivery to our customers. Completion of this feature is planned by the end of August 2023.
Due to the distinction between mandatory and optional fields in the older EET versions compared to the latest version, test routines and validations are only possible to a limited extent so far. cleversoft strives to structurally process all existing EET versions, regardless of the existing format, and to use the supplied data appropriately or to make it available in a structured and uniform manner in the data delivery.
