New ESMA Guidelines come into force

In December 2021, we informed you about the requirements out of the new guidelines of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA). Next week, the new guidelines will come into force at the beginning of February 2022. You are welcome to read more details about the new guidelines in our blog.

The new guidelines from European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) contain requirements for the disclosure of marketing communications related to all UCITS and AIFs. This includes, for example, an explanation of any costs referred to, and how those costs affect your investment.

Sustainability-relevant aspects are also mentioned in the announcement. The information around sustainability should also be consistent with the required legal and regulatory documents.  More references to the sustainability-relevant aspects, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2019/2088, can be found in the announcement.
